Escorted Tour (noun, pron. “ƏS’kôr’tǝd TŪR”)
¹ A prearranged travel program, usually for a group, conducted by a guide or tour director who takes care of all services from beginning to end of the tour. A full package usually includes flights, hotels, transportation, transfers to the airport/hotel, most meals and sightseeing and are typically conducted by motorcoach. They can be fast-paced, with no more than 2 nights spent in each location, or more leisurely, with more time spent overnight at each locale.
“Originally, we were going to book a cruise around the British Isles, but in order for us to REALLY experience the Irish culture, our vacation counselor at Holiday Cruises & Tours suggested an escorted tour by motorcoach instead.”

Shipboard Credit (noun, pron. “SHĬP’bôrd KRƏD’it”)
¹ Money that is applied to your cabin’s charge account as a credit, therefore reducing your bill at the end of your cruise by that amount. Often offered as a part of a promotion given by Holiday Cruises & Tours and sometimes given by the cruise line itself. Can be used to cover a variety of expenses during your cruise vacation (i.e. your BAR BILL, soft drinks, shore excursions, gratuities that haven’t been pre-paid, souvenirs from the gift shop…pretty much anything that can be purchased onboard the ship). In short, it’s like having a little gift card while on your cruise. See also: Onboard Credit
“Celebrity Cruises was selling our verandah stateroom for $1299 per person. But Holiday Cruises & Tours was offering the same cabin for $1189 per person plus $100 in shipboard credit. The decision was a no-brainer.”
